A 90-mile stretch of riverside park through scenic valleys and gorges: great for canoeing and kayaking.

Incredible views everywhere in this enormous wilderness area. This area is full of steep hills bordering the Big South Cumberland River and most of it is very remote. Even on a beautiful fall day, … Full review by James K

The ranger at the visitor's center was highly knowledgeable and quickly planned out our driving / hiking trip for us. GPS in this area is highly misleading. We enjoyed our hike out to the arches. … Full review by Hatzlacha

We loved hiking all around Big South Fork. We spent a day at Twin Arches. They were enormous! I can't believe these are in Tennessee. I was arch-struck! So many 'that's what she said' jokes! After Em… Full review by Joey D
We plan to visit the park later in April. We would like to camp, and I am looking for suggestions for which campground to choose. We pull a 25' trailer.

We stayed at Bandy Creek. It’s a nice, clean campground with plenty of large sites. Our camper is 27” and we had no problem finding a site large enough.
You mentioned hiking with your dogs.....are the trails fairly accessible to walk with leashed dogs (not a lot of narrow cliff ledges, rock scrambles, etc) or are there any in particular you recommend to experience or avoid? On our hiking trips we've always passed people with leashed dogs enjoying themselves! :)
Planning a kayak camping trip this spring, going to paddle from peters ford bridge to Burnt mill bridge, was wondering if there are any good camping spots after Brewster’s bridge that would accommodate 3-4 people? Thanks in advance Nay

Don't know about the camping spots along that route but would advise you to be very aware of the rain amounts before you go. We were there 2 weekends ago and the current was very dangerous, they were warning paddlers to be very cautious. I don't know if an expert kayaker would have attempted it and we have had a good deal more rain since then. Just a heads up!
Are their outhouses or random toilet areas when backpack hiking? Or is everyone left to have to potty in a dirt hole? Sorry as i am new to back pack camping and going soon.
A:
You will potty the same way the bears do there...In the woods.
