Missouri Botanical Garden is partnering with cities and recycling advocates to set up collection sites for yard signs through Nov. 15, keeping over 2,500 pounds of plastic and 1,200 metal stakes out of landfills.

In the city, placards can be taken to 6 sanitation convenience centers. Several suburban counties have collection sites, too.

Campaign signs need to be removed within 10 days of an election. Dallas residents have a few options for recycling theirs. Now that the Nov. 5 election is over, all of those campaign yard signs we’ve been seeing for months will need to come down.

Sustainability leaders in 15 St. Louis area cities and counties, along with recycling advocates, are hosting public collection sites for recycling plastic yard signs and their metal-stake holders.

Households across the Pittsburgh area accumulated election signs in the last several months. Now, city officials are explaining how those signs can be recycled.
